What’s going on? Hearing Awareness Week

Aug 12, 2016Hearing Health News

Hearing Awareness Week is just around the corner Screen Shot 2016-08-11 at 3.35.28 pm– August 21 to August 28.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the amazing things being done in our community to raise awareness about hearing health and wellbeing and create community awareness about what it’s like fo the one in six Australians who have hearing loss, are deaf or live with an ear and balance condition.

Many of you are planning community events and celebrations. If you are – big or small – we’d love to promote them.

We’ve created a Break the Sound Barrier Hearing Hub for people to add details of their events, beginning with Hearing Awareness Week.

Just send us your event details and we’ll add them to the diary

We’ll also post any photos you take during the week onto our Hearing Awareness Week gallery and share them on our Facebook page.

Don’t forget to tag @breaksoundbarrier on your Facebook pages so we can share your posts too.

If you don’t have an event planned, it’s also a great time to remind your friends, families and colleagues to join the campaign to make hearing a national health priority.

You can share our Facebook page or asked them to go to www.breakthesoundbarrier.org.au and remind them to sign up.

Click here to add your Hearing Awareness Week details and find out what else is going on.
